This February was opened with an extraordinary literary event in the Museum of the Belarusian Book-printing. The Museum met the writers from Viciebsk, who had come to represent the 5th issue of the literary miscellany “Ratuša” (“The Town Hall”). The miscellany was published by Viciebsk branch of the Union of Belarusian Writers. The meeting was initiated by Anastasia Laziebnaja (also known as Stasia Narkievič), who had been a compiler of all the issues of “Ratuša”. Liudmila Simanionak, Natallia Salaŭjova, Michas’ Miranovič and Michas’ Konan had attended the meeting.

The literary miscellany included texts by authors not only from Viciebsk but also from Minsk (such as Liudmila Andzilieŭka) and Polack (such as Ales’ Arkuš, Iryna Žarnasiek, Iryna Hrumandz’). It was a pleasure to see a poet Usievalad Scieburaka and a singer-songwriter Zmicier Bartosik among the guests of the event.

The meeting gathered people who couldn’t imagine their lives without creative writing. In the hall of the Museum-Library of Simiaon of Polack lyric verses and humorous miniatures spoke with the hearts of the guests finding emotional response.

As was tradition the guests presented the Museum with their editions with autographs.
